March 3 will mark the first annual day of reflection since the UK Commission on Covid Commemoration published its final report in September. In the report, it was recommended the event should be held each year on the first Sunday of March.
The first day of reflection, organised by the charity Marie Curie, was held in 2021 on March 23, the one-year anniversary of the first lockdown.
“I collect for Marie Curie because they’ve helped my family & friends.
I’ve seen first-hand the support the nurses give to people at the end of their lives.”
